Thought-Leadership & Community Building
I'm a speaker, builder, and advocate for technology that serves young people and the planet. My work spans climate education, digital safety, and purposeful play, and has been featured at venues from TEDx to the UN. I believe immersive experiences are one of our best tools for raising a generation of change makers.
Thought Leadership
I gave a TEDx talk on how immersive games like Sky Farm Island can inspire kids to take real-world action for the planet—starting with growing and eating their greens.
Spoke at COP28’s Extreme Hangout in Dubai on using gaming and immersive tech to rethink climate education.
Key message: Immersive and interactive experiences can help young people relate to the importance of protecting our planet and inspire them to become changemakers.
Presented CleanSeas AR at the UN Headquarters in Bangkok and participating in a panel, "Leading at the Local Level" in front of 300+ delegates from across the Southeast Asia region
Key Message: Showcased how AR can bring plastic pollution to life on Instagram and how our workshops helped 200+ kids and parents turn photos of plastic waste into digital sea creatures.
Hosted and moderated expert talks on building Smarter Cities, places where technology serves people, not the other way around.
Key Message: Connected conversations with global experts in AI, urban innovation, and sustainability around one clear takeaway: the future of cities must be inclusive, accessible, and human-centred.
Spoke at the UN’s Games and SDG Summit on child rights in the digital age with UNICEF and Bloomberg.
Key Message: Shared how k-ID supports developers to build in safety by design and offer age-appropriate experiences to kids and teens in more than 195 countries around the world.
Selected as one of the expert visionaries to contribute to the Future of Skills report by Hundo and City & Guilds, alongside Cathy Hackl, the “Godmother of the Metaverse”.
In this Women in Games talk, I drew on MeshMinds' work at creativity, sustainability, and digital innovation, showing how weaving purpose into games inspires action, boosts engagement, and unlocks industry opportunities.
Community Building
I bring people together to turn creative ideas into impactful experiences that connect communities, culture, and technology. These are some of the examples:
Led Southeast Asia’s first Creative Tech Incubation Programme, connecting 25+ artists with technologists to explore immersive storytelling for the planet. Backed by Apple, UNEP, Autodesk, HTC, Lenovo, and hosted by ArtScience Museum Singapore, the exhibitions drew 20,000+ visitors and showcased the power of digital art for sustainability. MeshMinds 3.0 won ‘Most Sustainable Exhibition’ at Communicating the Arts.
Built a cross-border artist community across Greater China, India, and Southeast Asia through mentorship and workshops. Supported 100+ emerging and 6 professional artists to explore projects combining art & tech through a virtual accelerator programme focused on the themes of Future Cities, Digital Disruption and Sustainability.
Developed the world's first Creative Tech Incubation Programme for women and non-binary artists in Southeast Asia, focused on sustainability and fashion. Reached 10,000+ people and featured in a month-long public exhibition at Capella Singapore, spotlighting underrepresented creative voices across the region.
Trained 20 Singapore artists to transform static digital art into interactive AR experiences using Artivive to highlight sustainability and climate resilience. Resulted in works exhibited internationally, with 5 pieces permanently displayed at Korea's National Forest Museum, proof that community-driven creativity travels far.
Led the design and delivery of a matchmaking programme pairing traditional artists with technologists across Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore.
Immersive AR/VR experiences that helped over 500,000 youth connect with cultural heritage in classrooms and digital spaces.
Brought together 10 Chinese artists for China's first AR/VR art and animation incubation programme, delivering hands-on Oculus training, expert mentorship, and 3D production support, to help them create experiences focused on Chinese cultural heritage stories.
Culminated in an exhibition seen by over 500,000 visitors at the China International Import Expo.
OceanX
Here are some examples of the work I have done at OceanX:
The first ever hackathon where Residents and Fellows began the programme together, pushing the boundaries of how AI could transform ocean storytelling - and who gets to tell it.
The challenge: build an AI-powered immersive experience capable of making a public audience genuinely care about the ocean. Watching people across generations, disciplines, and every comfort zone answer that question together was one of the most energising experiences of my career.
In April 2025, I hosted Day One of the inaugural OceanX Summit and moderated the panel "Immersive Frontiers: XR and Gaming in Ocean Education" - bringing together policymakers, philanthropists, educators, scientists, artists, and technologists to reimagine ocean education for the digital age.
I'm passionate about spotting talent and bringing brilliant minds together to create something bigger than any of us could build alone.
If you're organising an event, leading an institution, or working on a project that could benefit from fresh perspectives and creative collaboration, I'd love to hear from you.
Aboard the OceanXplorer, I joined the first-ever OceanX Education Hackathon, working alongside brilliant minds to explore how immersive and interactive experiences could reach the young people we most need to engage.
